AgenticMail: Unauthenticated inbound mail triggers bypassPermissions resume of the operator's Claude Code session (bridge-wake)

AgenticMail gives AI agents real email addresses and phone numbers. In @agenticmail/claudecode prior to version 0.2.39, @agenticmail/codex prior to version 0.1.33, @agenticmail/core prior to version 0.9.43, and @agenticmail/openclaw prior to version 0.5.71, two inbound-mail handlers act on a privileged effect without verifying that the sender is the operator, while a sibling handler in the same repo does. The higher-impact one: any external email routed to the bridge inbox causes the dispatcher to resume the operator's Claude Code session with `permissionMode: 'bypassPermissions'`, embedding the attacker-controlled `from`/`subject`/`preview` verbatim into the prompt the resumed agent reads — an indirect prompt injection into a fully-privileged agent (Bash/Write/Edit/WebFetch + the agenticmail MCP toolbelt) running as the operator's OAuth identity. The sibling operator-query email-reply hook gates the same untrusted-From provenance with `isOperatorReplySender(replyFrom, config.operatorEmail)` (fail-closed); the bridge-wake path — a strictly higher-privilege effect — has no equivalent. @agenticmail/claudecode 0.2.39, @agenticmail/codex 0.1.33, @agenticmail/core 0.9.43, and @agenticmail/openclaw 0.5.71 contain a fix.

AgenticMail: Cross-agent task authorization bypass in AgenticMail API

AgenticMail gives AI agents real email addresses and phone numbers. In @agenticmail/api prior to version 0.9.64, a low-privileged authenticated AgenticMail agent can enumerate another agent's pending/claimed tasks by supplying the target agent name to `GET /api/agenticmail/tasks/pending?assignee=<name>`. The returned task objects include the task IDs and payloads. The same task IDs can then be used with the capability-style task mutation endpoints (`/tasks/:id/claim`, `/tasks/:id/result`, `/tasks/:id/complete`, `/tasks/:id/fail`) to claim, complete, or fail tasks assigned to a different agent. Because ordinary authenticated agents can discover agent names through `GET /api/agenticmail/accounts/directory`, the task ID effectively stops being a secret capability. This turns the intended capability model into a cross-agent authorization bypass. Version 0.9.64 contains a fix.

ClearanceKit: Policy signing key in System Keychain has permissive ACL allowing any local-root process to forge signed policy

ClearanceKit intercepts file-system access events on macOS and enforces per-process access policies. The ECDSA private key used to sign the on-disk policy database (`/Library/Application Support/clearancekit/store.db`) is stored in the macOS System Keychain. The key was created via the two-step pattern `SecKeyCreateRandomKey` (in-memory) followed by `SecItemAdd(kSecValueRef:, kSecAttrAccess:)` (persist). Prior to version 5.0.10, for `kSecClassKey` items in the legacy System Keychain, `kSecAttrAccess` passed to `SecItemAdd` is silently ignored — the persisted key inherits no ACL restriction. The same access builder applied to `kSecClassGenericPassword` items correctly binds the ACL, making this bug specific to the EC key. The result is that any process running as root can use the key to produce valid signatures over arbitrary policy content. Version 5.0.10 fixes the issue. No known workarounds are available. Disabling the system extension and manually removing the System Keychain item labelled `clearancekit policy signing key` would prevent the forged-signature path but also disables policy enforcement.

NextCRM has RBAC Bypass in MCP Product Tools that Allows Low-Privileged Users to Modify the CRM Product Catalog

NextCRM is open-source customer relationship management (CRM) software. The CRM product catalog is an organization-wide business object. Normal application server actions restrict product creation, update, and deletion to `manager` and `admin` roles. However, in version 0.12.1, the MCP product tools expose the same write operations through `/api/mcp/mcp` using user-generated Bearer tokens and do not enforce role checks. Any authenticated low-privileged user who can generate an MCP API token can create, modify, archive, or soft-delete products in the shared CRM product catalog. Version 0.12.3 contains a fix.

NextCRM has BOLA/IDOR in MCP Campaign Tools that Allows Cross-User Campaign Disclosure and Tampering

NextCRM is open-source customer relationship management (CRM) software. In version 0.12.1, the MCP campaign tools expose campaign read and write operations over the network using user-generated Bearer API tokens (`nxtc__...`). The application has an authorization model that restricts normal users to campaigns they created, but multiple MCP campaign handlers ignore the authenticated user ID and query or mutate campaigns only by object ID. As a result, a low-privileged authenticated user with a valid MCP API token can enumerate all campaigns, read campaign details, update or delete campaigns owned by other users, modify campaign templates and steps, and potentially trigger or pause campaign delivery. Version 0.12.2 fixes the issue.

NextCRM has Broken Access Control in Server Actions that allows any authenticated user to deactivate/activate arbitrary accounts

NextCRM is open-source customer relationship management (CRM) software. Versions prior to 0.12.0 have a Broken Access Control (BAC) vulnerability in the `activateUser` and `deactivateUser` Next.js Server Actions of NextCRM. The application fails to verify if the requesting user holds the `admin` role. Consequently, any authenticated user (even those with the lowest `member` or `viewer` roles) can arbitrarily activate or deactivate any user account in the system, including the main administrator. Version 0.12.0 fixes the issue.

Rsync: hostname/ACL bypass on DNS-lookup failure

Rsync is a file-copying tool that uses a delta-transfer algorithm to synchronize remote and local files. In versions prior to 3.4.3, when using a daemon configured with a chroot, the reverse DNS lookup of the connecting client was performed after the chroot had been entered. If the chroot did not contain the files glibc needs for resolution (/etc/resolv.conf, /etc/nsswitch.conf, /etc/hosts, NSS service modules), the lookup failed and the connecting hostname was set to "UNKNOWN". Hostname-based deny rules ("hosts deny = *.evil.example") therefore could not match, and an attacker who controlled the PTR record for their source IP could connect from a hostname that the administrator had intended to deny. IP-based ACLs ("hosts allow = 10.0.0.0/8") are unaffected. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.3.

AI SDK Codex Harness Tool Relay Authorization Bypass

The `@ai-sdk/harness-opencode` tool is an HarnessV1 adapter backed by @openai/codex-sdk, which drives the codex command line interface. Prior to version 1.0.29, the tool relay authorizes requests from any process whose command line contains an allowed helper script path (the Codex CLI shim). This allows untrusted code executing in the sandbox to invoke arbitrary host-exposed tools, including secret lookups, deployment operations, and cloud API calls without a corresponding model-authorized tool-call event. Exploitation requires a Linux environment (the vulnerable fallback checks `process.platform === 'linux'` and reads `/proc`); an active harness session with one or more host-provided tools; and untrusted code executing in the sandbox (e.g. a malicious dependency, build script, or lifecycle hook) The fix in version 1.0.29 removes the process-path authorization fallback entirely. Relay requests are now only accepted after exact, short-lived, one-time authorization matching the tool name and input from a bridge-observed model event. Some workarounds are available. Do not run the Codex harness on untrusted repositories or with untrusted dependencies, and/or limit host-exposed tools to non-sensitive operations when working with untrusted code.

Rsync: Symlink races on path-based syscalls

Rsync is a file-copying tool that uses a delta-transfer algorithm to synchronize remote and local files. In versions prior to 3.4.3, previous bug fixes for symlink races in open() calls missed races in other path based system calls like chmod() and chown(). For rsync daemons with "use chroot = no" this allows an attacker with local filesystem access to change permissions, ownership or timestamp on a file outside the exported module. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.3.

AI SDK OpenCode Harness Tool Relay Authorization Bypass

The `@ai-sdk/harness-opencode` tool connects HarnessAgent to OpenCode through a sandboxed bridge. Paymenter: Broken object level authorization via service reference manipulation on ticket creation

Paymenter is a free and open-source webshop solution for management of hosting services. In versions prior to 1.5.0, the ticket creation endpoint accepts a user-supplied service identifier without enforcing ownership validation, allowing authenticated users to create support tickets referencing services belonging to other accounts by modifying the service ID in the request. An attacker could modify the service ID value in the client-side request and successfully create a ticket associated with another user's service. The vulnerability requires authentication and does not provide direct access to service contents or customer data. However, referenced service information could become visible to support personnel handling the ticket. Successful exploitation could allow an authenticated user to: create support tickets referencing services belonging to other users, potentially cause support staff to interact with or review unrelated customer services. The vulnerability did not allow direct access to another user's service, modification of another user's service or retrieval of confidential service data through the vulnerable endpoint itself. This issue has been fixed in version 1.5.0.

RT: Privilege escalation and information disclosure via REST 2.0 user collection endpoint

RT is an open source, enterprise-grade issue and ticket tracking system. Versions prior to 5.0.10, 6.0.0 and above, prior to 6.0.3 contain an information disclosure and privilege escalation vulnerability in the REST 2.0 API. A privileged (non-administrative) user can obtain authentication credentials belonging to other users — including users with administrative privileges — and use those credentials to read data as those users via RT's feed endpoints. The same request that exposes the credentials also rotates them, invalidating previously-distributed feed URLs across the instance. This issue has been fixed in versions 5.0.10 and 6.0.3.

WhatsApp MCP: Unauthenticated bridge API allows message sending and arbitrary file exfiltration

WhatsApp MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for WhatsApp, enabling Claude to read and send WhatsApp messages. Prior to version 0.2.1, the `whatsapp-bridge` HTTP API listens on `127.0.0.1:8080` without authentication and without Host header validation, and the `/api/send` endpoint accepts an absolute `media_path` parameter without confining it to a safe directory. Combined, these issues allow any local process running as the same user as the bridge to send WhatsApp messages from the paired account without authorization; the same caller to read arbitrary files readable by the user (e.g. SSH private keys, browser session data, source code, dotfiles) and exfiltrate them as WhatsApp document attachments; and/or a remote attacker to trigger the same operations via DNS rebinding from a webpage the user visits, since no Host header validation is performed. In MCP environments, "local caller" extends beyond processes the user explicitly launched — sibling MCP servers, IDE extensions, and tool-triggered flows running in the user's session can act as the effective caller. This issue is fixed in whatsapp-mcp v0.2.1 and corresponding Docker images / release artifacts. Users should upgrade immediately. The fix introduces bearer token authentication on the bridge HTTP API (configured via environment variable, required on all requests, validated with constant-time comparison); host header allow-list validation to prevent DNS rebinding; and confinement of `media_path` to a configured directory, with rejection of absolute paths outside the root and path traversal sequences. This is a breaking change for clients of the bridge API. For users who cannot immediately upgrade: Stop the bridge, or block loopback access to port 8080, when the bridge is not actively in use; avoid running the bridge alongside untrusted MCP servers, browser extensions, or other untrusted local processes; avoid browsing untrusted sites while the bridge is running (DNS rebinding mitigation); and/or run the bridge under a dedicated user account or in a sandbox/container with no access to sensitive files.

Network-AI: ApprovalInbox HTTP server has no authentication — anyone can approve pending agent actions

Network-AI, a TypeScript/Node.js multi-agent orchestrator, has a shipped, exported, documented feature called `ApprovalInbox` (`lib/approval-inbox.ts`). It is the network surface of the human-in-the-loop Approval Gate, which `ApprovalGate` uses to require explicit human approval for high-risk operations. The HTTP server it exposes has no authentication of any kind and sets `Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *` on every route, including the state-changing `POST /approvals/:id/approve` and `/deny`. As a result, in versions 5.0.0 through 5.12.1, any party who can send an HTTP request to the inbox port — a co-located process, a container/SSRF on the same host, a remote client when the operator binds a non-loopback address, or any website the operator visits in a browser (via the wildcard CORS) — can enumerate pending approvals and approve them, defeating the entire human-in-the-loop control and causing the gated high-risk action (e.g. a shell command the agent was holding for review) to execute without consent. This issue is fixed in v5.12.2. `ApprovalInbox` now accepts a `secret` option. When set, the mutating endpoints `POST /:id/approve` and `POST /:id/deny` require an `Authorization: Bearer <secret>` header, validated in constant time with `crypto.timingSafeEqual`. `startServer()` already binds to `127.0.0.1` by default; operators exposing the inbox on a network must set a secret.

dataCycle No Brute-Force Protection On Web And API Login Endpoints

dataCycle is a data management system for centrally storing, managing, searching, finding, and distributing data. In dataCycle-CORE, the module handling core processing and framework rules, before and including version 25.07.3, the application accepts unlimited password guesses against both the browser login flow and the JSON login endpoint. The source code enables Devise's `:lockable` module on the user model but explicitly disables both lock and unlock strategies, and no request throttling or rate-limiting layer was identified in the Rails code. This creates a direct online password-guessing risk: - valid user accounts can be attacked continuously without temporary lockout - the same weakness is reachable through both `/users/sign_in` and `/api/v4/auth/login` - successful guessing yields a normal session cookie in the HTML flow or a fresh JWT in the API flow - the API endpoint is especially attractive for automation because it requires no CSRF token This has been patched in version 26.06.08.

HeyForm has unauthenticated /api/upload endpoint that accepts arbitrary files with no auth/session/form context

HeyForm is an open-source form builder. Prior to version 3.0.0-rc.9, `POST /api/upload` has no authentication guard, no global guard, no form-context validation, no `openToken` requirement, and no session cookie check. Any anonymous internet user can upload files (PDF, DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, CSV, TXT, MP4, images, etc., up to 10 MB) and receive a permanent public URL on the HeyForm domain. The endpoint is used by both authenticated form creators and unauthenticated form submitters; because no form-context binding exists, every request to it is anonymously accepted. Version 3.0.0-rc.9 contains a patch for the issue.

Network-AI 5.12.2 through 5.13.3 Missing Authorization via ApprovalInbox

Network-AI (npm: network-ai) versions 5.12.2 through 5.13.3 fail to apply the configured authorization check (checkAuth/secret) to the ApprovalInbox GET read routes, so even when an operator configures a secret, unauthenticated actors can access sensitive approval request details. The GET /approvals/?status=all, GET /approvals/:id, GET /approvals/stats, and GET /approvals/sse routes disclose full ApprovalEntry content including action/target shell-command strings, file paths, justifications, and risk levels. All responses also carry a hardcoded Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * header, enabling cross-origin disclosure from any website the operator visits. This is an incomplete fix for GHSA-mxjx-28vx-xjjj.

SurrealDB before 3.1.0 Algorithm Downgrade via ES512

SurrealDB before 3.1.0 silently substitutes the ES384 algorithm when a JWT access method is configured with ALGORITHM ES512 (DEFINE ACCESS ... TYPE JWT ALGORITHM ES512), because the underlying jsonwebtoken crate (v10.x) has no ES512 variant and the mapping defaults to ES384 without any error, warning, or log message. Users who supply the correct P-521 key for ES512 experience authentication handshake failures due to the curve mismatch with ES384 (which expects P-384), and tokens are rejected by external systems expecting genuine ES512 signatures. The flaw cannot be used to forge tokens or compromise data confidentiality or integrity, as ES384 remains cryptographically strong.

SurrealDB before 3.1.0 Permission Bypass via WHERE Clause

SurrealDB before 3.1.0 evaluates user-supplied WHERE clauses in SELECT statements (and SET/MERGE/CONTENT/PATCH clauses in UPDATE, UPSERT, INSERT ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE, and RELATE update-variant statements) against full record data before enforcing PERMISSIONS FOR SELECT WHERE restrictions. An authenticated user — including Record and Scope users — can exploit this ordering flaw to read the full contents of any table in the database they are authenticated against, bypassing table-level permission checks. Exfiltration is most direct when scripting functions are enabled (--allow-scripting), but is also possible via SurrealQL's THROW statement and timing-based side channels without scripting. The vulnerability is confined to the attacker's current database and does not cross namespace or database isolation boundaries.
