Certain NETGEAR devices allow remote attackers to disable all authentication requirements by visiting genieDisableLanChanged.cgi. The attacker can then, for example, visit MNU_accessPassword_recovered.html to obtain a valid new admin password. This affects AC1450, D8500, DC112A, JNDR3000, LG2200D, R4500, R6200, R6200V2, R6250, R6300, R6300v2, R6400, R6700, R6900P, R6900, R7000P, R7000, R7100LG, R7300, R7900, R8000, R8300, R8500, WGR614v10, WN2500RPv2, WNDR3400v2, WNDR3700v3, WNDR4000, WNDR4500, WNDR4500v2, WNR1000, WNR1000v3, WNR3500L, and WNR3500L.
BIND 9.6.0, 9.5.1, 9.5.0, 9.4.3, and earlier does not properly check the return value from the OpenSSL DSA_verify function, which allows remote attackers to bypass validation of the certificate chain via a malformed SSL/TLS signature, a similar vulnerability to CVE-2008-5077.

pysaml2 version 4.4.0 and older accept any password when run with python optimizations enabled. This allows attackers to log in as any user without knowing their password.
An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the OAS Engine functionality of Open Automation Software OAS Platform v18.00.0072. A specially-crafted series of network requests can lead to arbitrary authentication. An attacker can send a sequence of requests to trigger this vulnerability.
Incorrect authentication of application WebSocket connections in Loom Desktop for Mac up to 0.16.0 allows remote code execution from either malicious JavaScript in a browser or hosts on the same network, during periods in which a user is recording a video with the application. The same attack vector can be used to crash the application at any time.
An attacker that has gained access to certain private information can use this to act as other user. Vendor: The Apache Software Foundation Versions Affected: Apache OpenMeetings from 3.1.3 before 7.1.0
Nextcloud Server before 9.0.54 and 10.0.1 & ownCloud Server before 9.1.2, 9.0.6, and 8.2.9 suffer from SMB User Authentication Bypass. Nextcloud/ownCloud include an optional and not by default enabled SMB authentication component that allows authenticating users against an SMB server. This backend is implemented in a way that tries to connect to a SMB server and if that succeeded consider the user logged-in. The backend did not properly take into account SMB servers that have any kind of anonymous auth configured. This is the default on SMB servers nowadays and allows an unauthenticated attacker to gain access to an account without valid credentials. Note: The SMB backend is disabled by default and requires manual configuration in the Nextcloud/ownCloud config file. If you have not configured the SMB backend then you're not affected by this vulnerability.
On BIG-IP 15.0.0-15.1.0.2, 14.1.0-14.1.2.3, 13.1.0-13.1.3.2, 12.1.0-12.1.5.1, and 11.5.2-11.6.5.1 and BIG-IQ 7.0.0, 6.0.0-6.1.0, and 5.2.0-5.4.0, in a High Availability (HA) network failover in Device Service Cluster (DSC), the failover service does not require a strong form of authentication and HA network failover traffic is not encrypted by Transport Layer Security (TLS).
The OTP Login Woocommerce & Gravity Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authentication bypass. This is due to the fact that when generating OTP codes for users to use in order to login via phone number, the plugin returns these codes in an AJAX response. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to obtain login codes for administrators. This does require an attacker have access to the phone number configured for an account, which can be obtained via social engineering or reconnaissance.
Unauthorized access and impersonation can occur in versions 4.6.2.3226 and below of Progress Software's Hybrid Data Pipeline Server on Linux. This vulnerability allows attackers to combine credentials from different sources, potentially leading to client impersonation and unauthorized access. When OAuth Clients perform an OAuth handshake with the Hybrid Data Pipeline Server, the server accepts client credentials from both HTTP headers and request parameters.
Imperva SecureSphere gateway (GW) running v13, for both pre-First Time Login or post-First Time Login (FTL), if the attacker knows the basic authentication passwords, the GW may be vulnerable to RCE through specially crafted requests, from the web access management interface.
The UserPro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authentication bypass in versions up to, and including, 5.1.1. This is due to insufficient verification on the user being supplied during a Facebook login through the plugin. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing user on the site, such as an administrator, if they have access to the email. An attacker can leverage CVE-2023-2448 and CVE-2023-2446 to get the user's email address to successfully exploit this vulnerability.
Session fixation vulnerability in Jenkins before 1.551 and LTS before 1.532.2 allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions via vectors involving the "override" of Jenkins cookies.
Session fixation vulnerability in ownCloud before 6.0.2, when PHP is configured to accept session parameters through a GET request, allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions via unspecified vectors.
Discuz! DiscuzX 3.4, when WeChat login is enabled, allows remote attackers to bypass authentication by leveraging a non-empty #wechat#common_member_wechatmp to gain login access to an account via a plugin.php ac=wxregister request (the attacker does not have control over which account will be accessed).
Authentication bypass by assumed-immutable data vulnerability in Intel Security VirusScan Enterprise Linux (VSEL) 2.0.3 (and earlier) allows remote unauthenticated attacker to bypass server authentication via a crafted authentication cookie.
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in uTorrent. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the component PRNG. The manipulation leads to weak authentication. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component.
An issue was discovered in Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley PowerMonitor 1000. An unauthenticated user can add/edit/remove administrators because access control is implemented on the client side via a disabled attribute for a BUTTON element.
An issue was discovered in myStrom WiFi Switch V1 before 2.66, WiFi Switch V2 before 3.80, WiFi Switch EU before 3.80, WiFi Bulb before 2.58, WiFi LED Strip before 3.80, WiFi Button before 2.73, and WiFi Button Plus before 2.73. The process of registering a device with a cloud account was based on an activation code derived from the device MAC address. By guessing valid MAC addresses or using MAC addresses printed on devices in shops and reverse engineering the protocol, an attacker would have been able to register previously unregistered devices to their account. When the rightful owner would have connected them after purchase to their WiFi network, the devices would not have registered with their account, would subsequently not have been controllable from the owner's mobile app, and would not have been visible in the owner's account. Instead, they would have been under control of the attacker.
BigTree 4.2.23 on Windows, when Advanced or Simple Rewrite routing is enabled, allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via a ..\ substring, as demonstrated by a launch.php?bigtree_htaccess_url=admin/images/..\ URI.
etcd versions 3.2.x before 3.2.26 and 3.3.x before 3.3.11 are vulnerable to an improper authentication issue when role-based access control (RBAC) is used and client-cert-auth is enabled. If an etcd client server TLS certificate contains a Common Name (CN) which matches a valid RBAC username, a remote attacker may authenticate as that user with any valid (trusted) client certificate in a REST API request to the gRPC-gateway.
IBM API Connect 5.0.0.0-5.0.8.3 Developer Portal does not enforce Two Factor Authentication (TFA) while resetting a user password but enforces it for all other login scenarios. IBM X-Force ID: 144483.
An image signature validation bypass vulnerability in Kyverno 1.8.3 and 1.8.4 allows a malicious image registry (or a man-in-the-middle attacker) to inject unsigned arbitrary container images into a protected Kubernetes cluster. This is fixed in 1.8.5. This has been fixed in 1.8.5 and mitigations are available for impacted releases.
Media Origination System Suite Software 2.6 and earlier in Cisco Virtual Media Packager (VMP) allows remote attackers to bypass authentication and make arbitrary Platform and Applications Manager (PAM) API calls via unspecified vectors, aka Bug ID CSCuz52110.
The m_authenticate function in modules/m_sasl.c in UnrealIRCd before 3.2.10.7 and 4.x before 4.0.6 allows remote attackers to spoof certificate fingerprints and consequently log in as another user via a crafted AUTHENTICATE parameter.
The SAML broker consumer endpoint in Keycloak before version 4.6.0.Final ignores expiration conditions on SAML assertions. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to perform a replay attack.
authentik is an open-source identity provider. Versions prior to 2022.11.2 and 2022.10.2 are vulnerable to unauthorized user creation and potential account takeover. With the default flows, unauthenticated users can create new accounts in authentik. If a flow exists that allows for email-verified password recovery, this can be used to overwrite the email address of admin accounts and take over their accounts. authentik 2022.11.2 and 2022.10.2 fix this issue. As a workaround, a policy can be created and bound to the `default-user-settings-flow flow` with the contents `return request.user.is_authenticated`.
IBM InfoSphere Data Replication 11.4 and IBM InfoSphere Change Data Capture for z/OS 10.2.1, under certain configurations, could allow a user to bypass authentication mechanisms using an empty password string. IBM X-Force ID: 189834
An issue was discovered in Couchbase Server 6.5.x and 6.6.x before 6.6.6, 7.x before 7.0.5, and 7.1.x before 7.1.2. During the start-up of a Couchbase Server node, there is a small window of time (before the cluster management authentication has started) where an attacker can connect to the cluster manager using default credentials.
A vulnerability was found in WCMS up to 8.3.11. It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function getMemberByUid of the file /index.php?articleadmin/getallcon of the component Login. The manipulation of the argument uid leads to improper authentication. The attack can be launched remotely. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
The HEIDENHAIN Controller TNC 640, version 340590 07 SP5, running HEROS 5.08.3 controlling the HARTFORD 5A-65E CNC machine is vulnerable to improper authentication, which may allow an attacker to deny service to the production line, steal sensitive data from the production line, and alter any products created by the production line.
`@next-auth/upstash-redis-adapter` is the Upstash Redis adapter for NextAuth.js, which provides authentication for Next.js. Applications that use `next-auth` Email Provider and `@next-auth/upstash-redis-adapter` before v3.0.2 are affected by this vulnerability. The Upstash Redis adapter implementation did not check for both the identifier (email) and the token, but only checking for the identifier when verifying the token in the email callback flow. An attacker who knows about the victim's email could easily sign in as the victim, given the attacker also knows about the verification token's expired duration. The vulnerability is patched in v3.0.2. A workaround is available. Using Advanced Initialization, developers can check the requests and compare the query's token and identifier before proceeding.
Client Integration Plugin (CIP) in VMware vCenter Server 5.5 U3a, U3b, and U3c and 6.0 before U2; vCloud Director 5.5.5; and vRealize Automation Identity Appliance 6.2.4 before 6.2.4.1 mishandles session content, which allows remote attackers to hijack sessions via a crafted web site.
An authentication bypass by assumed-immutable data vulnerability [CWE-302] in the FortiOS SSH login component 7.2.0, 7.0.0 through 7.0.7, 6.4.0 through 6.4.9, 6.2 all versions, 6.0 all versions and FortiProxy SSH login component 7.0.0 through 7.0.5, 2.0.0 through 2.0.10, 1.2.0 all versions may allow a remote and unauthenticated attacker to login into the device via sending specially crafted Access-Challenge response from the Radius server.
The JobSearch WP Job Board plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authentication bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.9.2. This is due to improper configurations in the 'jobsearch_xing_response_data_callback', 'set_access_tokes', and 'google_callback' functions. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as the first connected Xing user, or any connected Xing user if the Xing id is known. It is also possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as the first connected Google user if the user has logged in, without subsequently logging out, in thirty days. The vulnerability was partially patched in version 2.8.4.
An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the get_IFTTTTtoken.cgi functionality of Asus RT-AX82U 3.0.0.4.386_49674-ge182230. A specially-crafted HTTP request can lead to full administrative access to the device. An attacker would need to send a series of HTTP requests to exploit this vulnerability.
A vulnerability has been identified in Cerberus DMS (All versions), Desigo CC (All versions), Desigo CC Compact (All versions), SIMATIC WinCC OA V3.16 (All versions in default configuration), SIMATIC WinCC OA V3.17 (All versions in non-default configuration), SIMATIC WinCC OA V3.18 (All versions in non-default configuration). Affected applications use client-side only authentication, when neither server-side authentication (SSA) nor Kerberos authentication is enabled. In this configuration, attackers could impersonate other users or exploit the client-server protocol without being authenticated.
The miniOrange Social Login and Register (Discord, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn) Pro Addon plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authentication bypass in all versions up to, and including, 200.3.9. This is due to insufficient verification on the user being returned by the social login token. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing user on the site, such as an administrator, if they have access to the username and the user does not have an already-existing account for the service returning the token.
The WooCommerce - Social Login plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authentication bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.7.7. This is due to insufficient verification on the user being returned by the social login token. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing user on the site, such as an administrator, if they have access to the email and the user does not have an already-existing account for the service returning the token.
In Apache httpd 2.2.0 to 2.4.29, when generating an HTTP Digest authentication challenge, the nonce sent to prevent reply attacks was not correctly generated using a pseudo-random seed. In a cluster of servers using a common Digest authentication configuration, HTTP requests could be replayed across servers by an attacker without detection.
Improper authentication is possible in Apache Traffic Control versions 3.0.0 and 3.0.1 if LDAP is enabled for login in the Traffic Ops API component. Given a username for a user that can be authenticated via LDAP, it is possible to improperly authenticate as that user without that user's correct password.
ScreenConnect versions 25.2.3 and earlier versions may be susceptible to a ViewState code injection attack. ASP.NET Web Forms use ViewState to preserve page and control state, with data encoded using Base64 protected by machine keys. It is important to note that to obtain these machine keys, privileged system level access must be obtained. If these machine keys are compromised, attackers could create and send a malicious ViewState to the website, potentially leading to remote code execution on the server. The risk does not originate from a vulnerability introduced by ScreenConnect, but from platform level behavior. This had no direct impact to ScreenConnect Client. ScreenConnect 2025.4 patch disables ViewState and removes any dependency on it.
In Apache Karaf version prior to 3.0.9, 4.0.9, 4.1.1, when the webconsole feature is installed in Karaf, it is available at .../system/console and requires authentication to access it. One part of the console is a Gogo shell/console that gives access to the command line console of Karaf via a Web browser, and when navigated to it is available at .../system/console/gogo. Trying to go directly to that URL does require authentication. And optional bundle that some applications use is the Pax Web Extender Whiteboard, it is part of the pax-war feature and perhaps others. When it is installed, the Gogo console becomes available at another URL .../gogo/, and that URL is not secured giving access to the Karaf console to unauthenticated users. A mitigation for the issue is to manually stop/uninstall Gogo plugin bundle that is installed with the webconsole feature, although of course this removes the console from the .../system/console application, not only from the unauthenticated endpoint. One could also stop/uninstall the Pax Web Extender Whiteboard, but other components/applications may require it and so their functionality would be reduced/compromised.
When Eclipse Mosquitto version 1.0 to 1.5.5 (inclusive) is configured to use a password file for authentication, any malformed data in the password file will be treated as valid. This typically means that the malformed data becomes a username and no password. If this occurs, clients can circumvent authentication and get access to the broker by using the malformed username. In particular, a blank line will be treated as a valid empty username. Other security measures are unaffected. Users who have only used the mosquitto_passwd utility to create and modify their password files are unaffected by this vulnerability.
D-Link DIR-601 A1 1.02NA devices do not require the old password for a password change, which occurs in cleartext.
