KubeAI has an OS Command Injection via Model URL in Ollama Engine startup probe allows arbitrary command execution in model pods

KubeAI is an AI inference operator for kubernetes. Prior to 0.23.2, the ollamaStartupProbeScript() function in internal/modelcontroller/engine_ollama.go constructs a shell command string using fmt.Sprintf with unsanitized model URL components (ref, modelParam). This shell command is executed via bash -c as a Kubernetes startup probe. An attacker who can create or update Model custom resources can inject arbitrary shell commands that execute inside model server pods. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.23.2.

Cisco IOS XE Software Web UI Command Injection Vulnerability

A vulnerability in the web-based user interface (web UI) of Cisco IOS XE Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker with read-only privileges to inject IOS commands to an affected device. The injected commands should require a higher privilege level in order to be executed. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation of specific HTTP requests. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests to a specific web UI endpoint on an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to inject IOS commands to the affected device, which could allow the attacker to alter the configuration of the device or cause a denial of service (DoS) condition.

Tophat is a mobile applications testing harness. Prior to 2.5.1, Tophat is affected by remote code execution via crafted tophat:// or http://localhost:29070 URLs. The arguments query parameter flows unsanitized from URL parsing through to /bin/bash -c execution, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on a developer's macOS workstation. Any developer with Tophat installed is vulnerable. For previously trusted build hosts, no confirmation dialog appears. Attacker commands run with the user's permissions. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.5.1.

In 0.5.0b3.dev96 and earlier, the ADMIN_ONLY_OPTIONS protection mechanism restricts security-critical configuration values (reconnect scripts, SSL certs, proxy credentials) to admin-only access. However, this protection is only applied to core config options, not to plugin config options. Paperclip is a Node.js server and React UI that orchestrates a team of AI agents to run a business. Versions of @paperclipai/server prior to 2026.416.0 contain a privilege escalation vulnerability that allows an attacker with an Agent API key to execute arbitrary OS commands on the Paperclip server host. An attacker with an agent credential can escalate privileges from the agent runtime to the Paperclip server host. The vulnerability occurs because agents are allowed to update their own adapterConfig via the /agents/:id API endpoint. The configuration field adapterConfig.workspaceStrategy.provisionCommand is later executed by the server runtime. As a result, an attacker controlling an agent credential can inject arbitrary shell commands which are executed by the Paperclip server during workspace provisioning. This breaks the intended trust boundary between agent runtime configuration and server host execution, allowing a compromised or malicious agent to escalate privileges and run commands on the host system. This vulnerability allows remote code execution on the server host. @paperclipai/server version 2026.416.0 fixes the issue.

Roxy-WI is a web interface for managing Haproxy, Nginx, Apache and Keepalived servers. Prior to version 8.2.6.4, the /config/ < service > /find-in-config endpoint in Roxy-WI fails to sanitize the user-supplied words parameter before embedding it into a shell command string that is subsequently executed on a remote managed server via SSH. An authenticated attacker can inject arbitrary shell metacharacters to break out of the intended grep command context and execute arbitrary OS commands with sudo privileges on the target server, resulting in full Remote Code Execution (RCE). Indico discloses local files resulting in Remote Code Execution through LaTeX injection

Indico is an event management system that uses Flask-Multipass, a multi-backend authentication system for Flask. In versions prior to 3.3.12, due to vulnerabilities in TeXLive and obscure LaTeX syntax that allowed circumventing Indico's LaTeX sanitizer, it is possible to use specially-crafted LaTeX snippets which can read local files or execute code with the privileges of the user running Indico on the server. Note that if server-side LaTeX rendering is not in use (ie `XELATEX_PATH` was not set in `indico.conf`), this vulnerability does not apply. It is recommended to update to Indico 3.3.12 as soon as possible. It is also strongly recommended to enable the containerized LaTeX renderer (using `podman`), which isolates it from the rest of the system. As a workaround, remove the `XELATEX_PATH` setting from `indico.conf` (or comment it out or set it to `None`) and restart the `indico-uwsgi` and `indico-celery` services to disable LaTeX functionality.
